I’m a content writer turning into an SEO strategist, and I’m documenting every step of it.
Not because the journey is interesting in itself, but because the internet is full of finished experts explaining what worked for them after the fact. What’s harder to find is someone thinking in public, in real time, with actual stakes.
That’s what Nuanced is.
The background
My writing background isn’t the typical content marketing path. Before freelancing, I wrote for high-stakes environments, such as the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and inter-ministerial communications. The kind of writing where tone, precision, and clarity aren’t style choices, they’re requirements.
I’ve also managed MICE operations, Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions — which meant constant B2B negotiation, service coordination, and communication with external companies. I understood how businesses talk to each other before I ever wrote a word of marketing copy.
Across all of it, I’ve written speeches, web content, product reviews, blog posts, and essays. I’ve always known how to write. What I didn’t know until recently was how to make writing findable.
That changed on May 8th of this year.
I revived an old private WordPress blog, started studying SEO from scratch, and committed to the transition publicly. In the weeks since: Ahrefs SEO fundamentals, WordPress SEO, Google’s SEO starter course, and currently SEMRush’s AI Search Operating System. Six articles published. A strategy in motion.
I’m not starting from zero. I’m starting from a writing foundation most SEO specialists don’t have and building the strategy layer on top of it.
The Long Game
That record has a name: The Long Game.
Every month, I publish one entry on what I tested, what the results showed, and what I’m now questioning. Not a tutorial. Not a recap. A practitioner’s report from inside the process.
If you’re a writer trying to understand SEO, a marketer trying to build real visibility, or just someone who’s tired of recycled playbooks, this is for you.
What I do for clients
Nuanced is also a service.
I work with B2B companies, SaaS businesses, and solo operators who need content that does more than fill a publishing calendar. Strategic SEO content. Topical authority systems. Messaging that earns trust before it asks for anything.
The same thinking I apply to building Nuanced, I apply to your brand.

The name
SEO is always nuanced. Anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something.
The right keyword strategy depends on your domain authority. The right content length depends on the intent behind the search. The right publishing frequency depends on your resources and your niche. There are principles, but there are no universal rules — only judgment built from testing.
That’s what I’m building here. Judgment, in public.
Stay in the loop
If you want to follow the journey or just want sharp, practical thinking on SEO and content strategy, the newsletter is the best place to start.
No recycled playbooks. No empty motivation. Just what’s actually happening, and what it means.
